Stephenson Harwood appointed to Crown Commercial Service Legal Panel
Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has been appointed to the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) wider public sector legal services panel. The appointment is for three years, with an option to extend for one year.
CCS is a UK public procurement organisation. Its panel enables health, education, local and regional government, emergency services, third sector and social housing organisations to access law firms providing a wide range of expert legal services.
Stephenson Harwood has been appointed to two lots in England and Wales. The first lot ‘WPS Legal Services’ incorporates the full range of legal services including public law, commercial, corporate, IT, data protection, litigation and public procurement, dispute resolution, banking and finance and tax matters, while the second lot ‘Transport Rail’ is to provide specific legal advice for rail services, in particular rail franchising.
“Our appointment to the rail legal services panel follows our appointment to the Department for Transport and Transport for London panels over the last few years, showcasing our expertise of advising on a variety of rail related matters across the wider public sector,” said Tammy Samuel, Stephenson Harwood rail partner. Rebecca Carter, Stephenson Harwood projects and infrastructure partner, said: “Most of the public sector now accesses legal services through these types of frameworks, so it’s great that we have secured our place at the table.”
